From December 2021 to March 2022, THE MONDAY GROUP surveyed events, brand experience, hospitality and hotel industry professionals across Australia to uncover key employment trends, the effect the pandemic has had on the workforce, and collate a current salary guide for the industry.

Of the respondents, our survey found that 54 percent were actively seeking new employment or intended look for new employment within the next 12 months. A further 30 percent stated they don’t intend to look for a new role any time soon, however, they would be interested in hearing about new opportunities. That’s a staggering 84 percent of the workforce who could potentially be lured to another role! Clearly, we may not have seen the full effects of The Great Resignation in Australia yet and it looks like things may get worse before they get better.
