The government\u00a0outlined its second\u00a0Coronavirus stimulus package,\u00a0aiding\u00a0all the small businesses and unemployed\/casual workers\u00a0affected\u00a0by these drastic new measures.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Monday Group are hurting right along with the rest of our events, hospitality and tourism\u00a0industry colleagues, who will find these new social distancing measures crippling to their businesses. We have summarised the financial assistance on offer for our candidates and clients and urge you all to investigate what you are entitled to\u00a0thoroughly. Hopefully,\u00a0these assistance payments and stimulus measures can help you and your business survive during this unprecedented economic crisis and set you up to thrive once this is all over.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><strong>Income Support Recipients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>A\u00a0new Coronavirus Supplement of an additional $550 a fortnight for new and existing income support recipients (see list below)\u00a0will take effect\u00a0from 27 April 2020 for six months.\u00a0The payment will be available to sole traders and casual workers, provided they meet income tests;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"3\">JobSeeker\u00a0Payment<\/li>\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Sickness\u202fAllowance<\/li>\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Youth Allowance for jobseekers<\/li>\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Parenting Payment Partnered<\/li>\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Parenting Payment Single<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Partner Allowance<\/li>\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Sickness Allowance<\/li>\n<li role=\"listitem\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-listid=\"2\">Farm Household Allowance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>People will be able to access\u00a0up to $10,000 from their superannuation\u00a0funds\u00a0this financial year and\u00a0again\u00a0in 2020-21.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Reducing deeming rates*\u00a0by a further 0.25 per cent\u00a0(*the rate of income the government assumes a person\u2019s financial assets to earn)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><strong>Small Business Support:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Not-for-profits and small businesses with a turnover\u00a0&lt;\u00a0$50 million will receive a tax-free cash payment of\u00a0a minimum $20,000 up to a maximum of $100,000 to\u00a0help them retain staff and continue operating.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Commonwealth\u00a0will also\u00a0guarantee unsecured loans of up to $250,000 for a term of up to three years.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>JobKeeper applications now open: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartcompany.com.au\/finance\/tax\/jobkeeper-applications-open\/\">Here&#8217;s how to apply<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><strong>JobKeeper Q&amp;A: Struggling to convince casuals to take shifts?
